When is a sedan not a sedan – when it’s a four-door coupe, of course. Last year Volkswagen’s CC four-door, five-passenger “coupe” had its 6-speed manual transmission dropped from the Sportline and Highline trims. The Sportline and Highline trims feature front-wheel drive architecture and a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder coupled to a 6-speed automatic, while the top-of-the-line Exceline is powered by a 3.6L V6 paired with a 6-speed automatic and VW’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system. All models can be had with an R-Line Package that gives the car a different front bumper and side skirts as well as larger wheels.
