Offered in Work Truck (WT), LT, Z71 and ZR2 models, the Colorado — and its GMC sibling, the Canyon — is contributing to a renaissance of the mid-sized pickup segment. Three engines are offered, a 2.5-litre four-cylinder, a 3.6L V6 and a 2.8L Duramax turbodiesel four-cylinder. Cab and bed configuration choices include an extended cab model with a 6-foot-2 bed, a crew cab with a 5-foot-2 bed and a crew cab with a 6-foot-2 bed. With the tailgate down, the 6-foot-2 bed allows hauling of eight-foot-long items. New for 2018 is Active Tow, which helps the reversing driver align the vehicle with a trailer. It is standard on models with the 3.6L V6 and 2.8L turbodiesel. Also, Chevrolet MyLink Radio with seven-inch colour touchscreen is now standard on all trims and includes a rear-view camera. The pickup has a payload rating of up to 721 kilograms and maximum towing capacity of up to 3,493 kg.
